About Chalet Ysopi...
This modern 4 star chalet between the villages of St Jean de Sixt and Le Grand Bornand is perfectly located for walking and biking in the summer, and the ski slopes of Le Grand Bornand and La Clusaz in the winter.
St Jean de Sixt has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants, and there's more choice in Le Grand Bornand, just over 2km away. It's just an hour by car to Geneva airport, and 35 minutes to the beautiful medieval lakeside town of Annecy.
South-facing Chalet Ysopi, which sleeps nine people (six adults and three children) has been recently refurbished, and offers all the comforts you need for a great mountain holiday, including a two living area, a sunny furnished balcony with mountain views and plenty of parking space.
About the property...
The accommodation at Chalet Ysopi is on two floors - the living space is on the ground floor, while the four bedrooms are upstairs.
The elegant and practical kitchen is fully equipped, and has a breakfast bar with doors on to the balcony - step out with your morning coffee and fill your lungs with that crisp mountain air. The dining area also has doors onto the spacious terrace, where there is plenty of room to enjoy an apero, a barbecue or simply soak up the sun and the mountain view while you relax on the sunbeds.
There's a cosy seating area around a modern wood-burning stove and a television with PS4 console.
This floor also has a laundry room, a separate toilet and useful storage space for skis or bikes. There's further storage for bikes in the garage, as well as an outside hosepipe, so that you can clean them off after a muddy mountain ride.
Upstairs there are four bedrooms - a twin room and two doubles, one of which has an en suite shower room, and a lovely bright room with three single beds, which is ideal for children. There's also a family bathroom.
There are three parking spaces, one of which is covered.
About the area...
Chalet Ysopi is ideally placed for skiers and boarders of all ages and abilities, with the resorts of La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand, just a few minutes drive away. These resorts are linked to Manigod by a regular ski bus and an Aravis ski pass covers all of them, giving you more than 200km of pistes to explore. There’s great terrain for cross-country skiers too.
Non-skiers will find plenty to keep them occupied nearby, with a heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool, ice skating rink and cinema, as well as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and horse-drawn sleigh rides.Thrill-seekers should head for the Bun-J-Ride in St-Jean-de-Sixt!
In the summer, there’s no shortage of walks, from mountain trails to hiking on the Glières plateau. Adrenalin junkies are well catered for too, with paragliding, canyoning, climbing, via ferrata, mountain-biking and white-water rafting just some of the activities on offer within a few miles of St-Jean-de-Sixt.
After a fun-filled day, kids can let off steam in the garden, while the adults enjoy a quiet drink on the terrace and watch the sun sink behind the mountains...

The OVO Network Review
“A great choice for those who want to explore the area”
Chalet Ysopi, between St Jean de Sixt and Le Grand Bornand, sleeps nine people (six adults and three children) in four bedrooms, with two bathrooms.
This modern chalet, which has recently been renovated is a really practical choice for families, with a modern kitchen with a breakfast bar, cosy sofas around a woodburning stove and a separate games room with a television and a PS4 console - perfect for children who want to hang out in their own space. There's also a toilet on the ground floor and a useful laundry room.
Take your meals at the large dining table, or open the doors on to the sunny balcony and eat al fresco - perhaps a barbecue?
The four bedrooms are compact, but have plenty of storage. There are two doubles (one en suite) and a twin room, as well as a triple room with sloping ceilings which is perfect for children.
There's also a family bathroom, and a separate toilet.
Chalet Ysopi has plenty of parking space and overlooks a small road, which is little used and unlikely to disturb you.
There is plenty to do in the area around Chalet Ysopi - great skiing in the winter and in the summer, you can choose from biking, riding, hiking and much more. Don't forget to try out the Bun-J ride - a cross between ski-jumping and bungee jumping!

From the owner
We hope the chalet brings you as much joy as it has brought us
Chalet Ysopi has been in my family for more than 30 years. My parents moved here after they fell in love with the area's beautiful mountains.
The chalet's location, the tranquility and the view over the river and the mountains captivated them immediately, and Ysopi became the place where we spent many family holidays.
We've had so many wonderful times here that 10 years ago we decided to make Haute Savoie our home. Being so much closer would mean that we could get to our chalet more easily.
As time passed, my husband, children and I became very fond of the chalet and decided to keep it on. However, it needed a lot of work to bring it up to date.
Three years on, we decided on a total renovation. With the help of an architect and some local businesses, we took the chalet right back to the bare walls and redesigned it from scratch.
We wanted a chalet that was comfortable and welcoming, where we could enjoy good times with our friends and family.
We hope that Chalet Ysopi, named after the hyssop flower, brings you as much pleasure as it has brought us.
Agnès.

“Beautiful chalet and beautiful location!”
High quality accommodation, and better equipped than I thought. Beautiful chalet and beautiful location!
— Nathalie D. Dec 2022
“Very nice chalet ideally located”
Very nice chalet, very well equipped. Beautiful view. Ideally located, close to the shops, to visit the region and enjoy the many activities.
— Hugues T. Jul 2022
“Excellent stay”
We loved: the location, close to the shops (5 min by car) and to the pistes (15 min) - that was ideal for us ; also the nice view and the large main living space, unusual for a rental in the mountains. Especially for us, as we were only 2 aduts and 2 children. In a few words: we enjoyed our time at chalet YSOPI!
— Aude L. Mar 2022
“Great chalet!”
Very well equipped, very nice with a beautiful view. The best thing is that sheets and towels are included in the rental. As far as information is concerned, once the booking was made, we received a document with all the information about the chalet, which was really practical. I highly recommend it.
— Thomas J. Feb 2022
“Lovely stay!”

— Olivier C. Jul 2021
“A very pleasant rental, with great facilities”
We loved the 4 nights spent there. The location is quiet and close to several points of interest for beautiful walks. The view is very nice, and Mandy the manager is perfect. In short: we recommend!
— Pierre G. May 2021
“The chalet is what it looks like on the pictures!”
We enjoyed the sunny terrace with mountain view, the cosy lounge area (with PS4), the well equiped kitchen. Note that you need a car to drive to St.Jean de sixt or le Grand Bornand for your groceries. In the area you have several ski areas, good for cycling too in summer (Col de la Colombière and Col des Aravis).
